Born in Brindisi, Italy, in 1997

Antonio Del Vecchio's photographic research focuses on the imaginary, identity, memory and valorization of the rural world of southern Italy, in particular of his region, Puglia. The photographs presented here are part of two series. One dedicated to the rituals of processions, the other to the aspects and challenges of these changing agricultural lands. Together, they interweave, with restraint and complexity, local customs, the influence of the media and mass tourism, agrarian practices and economic difficulties.
